We are very fortunate here in the Highlands to have a growing number of fantastic craft breweries producing a wonderful varied range of beer. From one man operations to larger scale facilities, there is a lot of awesome brewing happening!
We thought it would be fun to put together an up to date map showing their locations and then progressed onto creating the Highland Craft Brewery Trail (#highlandbrewerytrail). This links each of the breweries that Highland Taste currently visits as part of our range of tours. More than just a visit to the brewery shop, we arrange informative guided tours of each facility followed by a fun sampling session.
To be able to fully appreciate the breweries on the Highland Craft Brewery Trail then we recommend that you choose two or three of your favourites and let us prepare a bespoke itinerary to maximise your day, allowing all members of your party to enjoy the post tour tastings without the worry of driving.
Alternatively, why not try a combination of Highland gin and craft beer on one of our Speyside tours. If you would prefer a more traditional combination of whisky and beer, our Hauf an’ a Hauf is a perfect choice. The Moray Coast breweries may be visited on our Flavours of the Moray Coast tour while you can tour one of the breweries on the Black Isle during a half day trip. There is also the opportunity to combine the spectacular scenery of the Scottish west coast with trips to Skye Brewery or Plockton Brewery.
Whatever your taste in craft beer, there’s a perfect Highland Taste tour to add great flavour to your visit to the Scottish Highlands. Slàinte.
